Time: 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Location: Dallas Museum of Art - Founders Room
Speaker: Panel

Due to the progression of the Coronavirus and its impact on the community, we have decided to cancel the event at the Dallas Museum of Art on March 25th. This decision is in response to the various policies discouraging travel and group events in the metroplex. We truly value our members and prioritize your health and wellbeing.  We will be carefully monitoring the issue and hope to find another time this year to host the event. The Dallas Estate Planning Council will be issuing a full refund for those who have registered.

Join the Dallas Estate Planning Council (Emerging Professionals) and Financial Planning Association (NexGen) as three industry experts provide insight on estate planning for gifts of art and educate us on how to assist our clients with: Transferring art during life, planning for art at death, and implementing the plan at the appropriate time.

DATE: Wednesday, March 25th

Event starts at 5:30 p.m.

Panel discussion at 6:00 p.m.

-Cocktail Social to follow-

LOCATION: Dallas Museum of Art – Founders Room  (1717 N Harwood St, Dallas 75201)

Cost: $10

This event is limited to the first 75 to sign up. Registration deadline: March 18th

TOPIC: Creating and Implementing a Succession Plan with Unique Assets

As advisors of clients who own unique assets, we need to be able to recognize and understand the special issues involved. It is important for us to be familiar with options for transfers of art and other collectibles during life and at death, the income tax and basis issues involved, how to procure the right appraisal, and common mistakes to avoid throughout the planning and implementation processes.
