LUKE JERNAGAN
Sponsored by Armanino and McBride & Associates of Merrill Lynch Management
Luke will share data that explains why transparency is hard for families to embrace. He will then explain the benefits of transparency, outline tools for attorneys and advisors to employ to achieve transparency in families and share several stories of best practices adopted by families who have done this well.
Luke Jernagan is dedicated to helping individuals and families live joyful, fulfilling, and meaningful lives. He pursued this life mission as an Episcopal priest for 15 years before transitioning to his current role as managing director of family learning at Matter Family Office. As the chair of Matter’s Culture & Learning Committee, Luke develops innovative practices that help families learn, grow, and align their financial wealth with their values. He regularly facilitates family meetings and works with Matter’s client teams to develop their communication and collaboration skills. Luke is certified in multigenerational advising, facilitation, and training through 21/64; has a certificate in financial psychology and behavioral finance from Creighton University; and a dual certificate in family business and family wealth advising from the Family Firm Institute. He is the board president of the Cricket Island Foundation, which supports youth-led social change across the US, and a board member of Social Venture Partners in St. Louis.
There is continuing ed credit pending approval for attorneys, accountants and financial planners for this presentation. The presentation will be posted on the website document library a few days prior to the presentation.
