Specifically, this presentation will focus on “Non-Cash” gifts such as stock, real estate and life insurance, and how they can be leveraged for the greater good, despite additional complexity. What are the pitfalls for real estate gifts and how can they be resolved?  Why don’t more charities have an effectively managed life insurance giving program? Is giving stock as simple as it seems?  This panel discussion draws upon the great (and not-so-great) gifts each panel member has worked on over the years, side-by-side with a variety of allied professionals. Using case studies, this presentation will provide workable solutions to help you maximize gift planning opportunities for your clients/donors and the entire community.  Jackie Franey, CAP is the Donor Relations Director at Communities Foundation of Texas where she is responsible for all facets of working with donors and professional advisors to establish major and planned gifts for the foundation.  Cynthia Krause, JD serves Baylor Health Care System Foundation as VP for Gift Planning, with the goal of providing gift planning counsel to individuals and professionals. Marianne Piepenburg, JD, is the Assistant VP for Planned and Endowment Giving at SMU.  She has 20 years experience as a planned giving professional.
