Particularly, we will cover the various types of beneficiaries and how these differ from pre-SECURE beneficiary types. Next, the presentation will review the Proposed Treasury Regulations under SECURE, which attempt to clarify the many uncertainties presented by the new SECURE additions to Section 401(a) of the IRC. The presentation will also briefly consider these changes to how advisors might help their clients plan under SECURE.  The second half of the presentation will walk through SECURE 2.0 and the most notable changes thereunder including the increase RMD ages, changes to catch-up contributions, employer match related changes, new Roth account contributions and withdrawals rules, and several more.\n \nJana Simons (Meadows Collier) represents individuals and multi-generational families.  She primarily focuses on tax planning, drafting complex wills and trusts, implementing wealth preservation strategies and charitable giving. Jana emphasizes helping clients achieve their objectives by designing creative and functional solutions tailored to their specific goals. Prior to joining the firm, she managed a large horse ranch and cultivated successful real estate and insurance practices.  She holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. While working on her J.D., Jana completed her Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning, represented pro bono clients in tax controversy matters with the IRS, served as Peer Financial Counselor and clerked for the Honorable Robert L.
