He is responsible for developing and implementing integrated planning strategies for clients with complex financial needs, drawing on a broad range of investment, fiduciary and banking services. Gary works in concert with other specialists within the Private Bank to develop tailored initiatives that reflect the unique priorities of each client or family. He incorporates wealth management planning strategies in areas that include estate planning, tax minimization, retirement planning, insurance, risk management and philanthropy to help clients pursue their goals more effectively. A veteran leader, Gary also advances sound communication and timely collaboration across a client’s advisory team. He conducts periodic reviews to help clients monitor their progress toward meaningful objectives, refining his approach based on dynamic market conditions and evolving client interests. Prior to joining Bank of America, Gary was a partner with the Blum Firm, where he focused on estate planning and probate and trust matters for families and family-owned businesses. He earned a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University. Gary is a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, has held the honor of Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly since 2006, and has been recognized as board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has also authored or co-authored many articles on estate planning and has served as a speaker for conferences on a broad range of estate planning topics. Gary is active in the community, having served in leadership positions with the American Cancer Society, Tarrant County Probate Bar Association and the Lone Star Film Society. \n \nBill Rasmussen is a senior vice president and wealth strategist at Bank of America Private Bank. He provides personalized strategies to address complex financial needs in preserving, transferring and managing wealth. His experience encompasses a broad range of estate and tax planning, including income taxation, retirement planning, charitable giving, intergenerational wealth transfer, education planning, cash flow analysis and business succession planning. Prior to joining the Private Bank, Bill was a practicing attorney in Houston, Texas, in the area of trusts and estates. He earned a J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law, a master’s degree from the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College.
